Bristol Palin’s ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnston allegedly picked up court documents in order to get the ball rolling on filing for custody of the parties’ son, Tripp.
What triggered the potential move for custody of Tripp? Allegedly, after seeing his son’s bad behavior on Bristol Palin’s reality television show, “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp,” Johnston may now seek to turn the tables and seek full custody of his son, gossip website TMZ reports.
The young father, 22, said that he was “disgusted” by what he saw of his son’s behavior on the television show and expressed concern that Tripp is on a “downward spiral.”
Further, just two weeks ago, the three-year-old Tripp made headlines for allegedly using a gay slur on the television show, The Huffington Post reports.
In California and like courts here in Orange County, courts are reluctant to switch full custody over to the father unless there has been some sort of abuse or neglect by the mother. It will be interesting to see what happens if Johnston does indeed file. At best, he would likely be awarded reasonable visitation every other weekend and one mid-week dinner visit.
