Andrew Dice Clay and his wife, Valerie, are friendly divorcees.
Brooklyn-born comedian Andrew Dice Clay and his wife Valerie Silverstein recently ended their four-year marriage, but theirs isn’t another messy Hollywood divorce.
“The word ‘marriage’ was putting a pressure on our relationship, and since we filed, we’ve been more in love and have had more respect for each other than ever before,” Clay told People.
The “Blue Jasmine” actor, 56, whose real name is Andrew Silverstein, filed in L.A. Superior Court last month after separating from his third wife March 18.
The actor said he and his wife have ‘more respect’ for each other now that they aren’t married.
Clay and Silverstein were married for four years. The ‘Blue Jasmine’ actor said he and his wife have ‘more respect’ for each other now that they aren’t married.
He stated neither of them have assets worth over $40,000, according to People.
From an Orange County Divorce Lawyer’s perspective, since the parties do not have any minor children together, custody is not an issue. Since they were only married for 4 years, unless a prenuptial agreement is in place spelling the details of spousal support upon divorce, the recipient will only be entitled to spousal support for one half of the length of the marriage.
