After a court appearance last week, the Judge in the Halle Berry/Gabriel Aubry paternity case has ordered Berry to pay Aubry $20,000 per month in child support.
Additionally, Berry is seeking a move away order to be able to relocate with the parties’ minor daughter to France. Berry is claiming that she is in fear of living in Los Angeles due to the overly aggressiveness of the paparazzi. So, we shall see how this move away is handled.
From an Orange County divorce lawyer’s perspective, if Berry is allowed to relocate to France, the child support order of $20,000 payable by Berry to Aubry will likely change. If the child is living in France the majority of the time, I suspect that Aubry will have limited opportunities to visit the child in France and hence, his child support amount will likely decrease.
In situations such as these, its not uncommon for the noncustodial parent to receive a chunk of time with the child in the Summers and Winters as I understand in France, children get a long break usually in February.
At any rate, if you have a child custody, visitation or child support issue and need aggressive representation, please contact an Orange County divorce lawyer for help.
